Vicky is a vibrant, kind-hearted 11-year-old who has already shown more courage than most of us will in a lifetime.

She was first diagnosed with neuroblastoma at just 7 years old in March 2022. What followed was an intense and exhausting journey — chemotherapy, radiation, major surgery, stem cell collection and transplant — and eventually, remission.

But just 10 months later, her cancer returned. This time, more aggressive.

Since her relapse, Vicky has endured monthly chemotherapy hospital stays lasting four to five days at a time. Treatment options have been limited, yet her determination has never wavered. Even on the hardest days — when getting out of bed feels impossible — her spirit shines.

She is resilient.
She is hopeful.
She is incredibly brave.

Her Dream

Vicky shares her bedroom with her mom and two siblings — Jeremy (9) and Leslie (18). More than anything, she dreamed of a space where they could all feel more at home. A space with more room to rest. More comfort. More peace.

She imagined:

To bring Vicky’s vision to life, Moniker Design led the interior transformation, creating a space layered with warmth, color, and intention. With build support from Moniker Build, the room was thoughtfully reimagined to maximize both comfort and functionality for the entire family.

The custom bunk beds offer both privacy and togetherness — giving each family member a sense of personal space while staying close. Soft lighting and vibrant hues fill the room with energy and joy. Every detail reflects Vicky’s playful creativity and courageous heart.

When Vicky walked into her newly transformed bedroom, it wasn’t just a reveal.

Her healing hideaway is now a place to rest after long hospital stays, to laugh with her siblings, to paint and play music, to cuddle Milo, and to dream about the day she becomes a nurse.
